Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is seeking Disability Support Workers to join our SIL homes across Caboolture to Northlakes. We offer a mix of casual and part-time shifts including days, afternoons, and sleepover supports in a supportive, person-centred team.

You will empower people with disabilities to live independently, build confidence and achieve goals. The role requires calm, compassionate professionals with a focus on safety and respect.

Qualifications

• Availability to work shifts that may include multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and active overnight supports.
• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain essential checks (Blue Card, Yellow Card, Fit2Work) and a valid driver’s license with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Help people achieve NDIS goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assist with personal care when required and support daily living tasks.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and community outings.
• Assist with daily activities and accompany appointments.
• Maintain connections with family, friends and services.

Job description

We have Casual and Part-timepositions available across our SIL homes around Caboolture through to Northlakes offering a mix of days, afternoons and sleepover supports.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to have open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts. Make an impact at Endeavour Foundation!

Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes across Brisbane's Northside, you will play a vital role in empowering people with disabilities to live independently, build confidence and achieve their goals. Whether supporting people with complex needs or helping someone develop everyday life skills, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day. No two days will be the same, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values inclusion, respect and person-centred support.

Other key duties will include:

• Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
• Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.
• Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
• Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern. You will be confident providing personal care and supporting daily living tasks while creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to challenging situations, and build trusting relationships is essential for success in this role. Most importantly, you are passionate about empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.

We also require:

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
