The Role

The hospital’s success relies on a highly skilled team supported by professional development opportunities. These positions are responsible for effectively managing the hospital imprest system, including goods ordering, receipt, and delivery of stock to wards and other areas of the hospital. The roles also handle all supply and imprest queries, as well as general duties. The positions are hands-on and require a high level of physical work.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous supply experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in a computerised inventory management system (e.g., Technology One)
  • The capability to work in all areas of supply including ordering and receipting of medical goods, inventory management, and management of hospital imprest levels in conjunction with hospital unit managers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level organisation and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The aptitude to work both independently and within a team
  • Skills and motivation to ensure excellence in customer service
  • Ability to act professionally with internal customers, external suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain safety standards and adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures
