Job summary

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Supply & Demand Planning Lead to own end-to-end demand and supply planning across our Australian plant, liaising with other regions. You will lead S&OP, translating forecasts into actionable production and materials plans while driving service, cost, and efficiency across the network.

You will work with Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Logistics and Procurement to optimise inventory, cost-to-serve, and planning systems, and you’ll lead cross-functional projects

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in integrated planning with demand and supply experience.
• Deep S&OP ownership and ability to balance demand, capacity, service, and cost.
• Strong analytical skills: forecasting, scenario modelling, Excel/SQL, BI tools.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and advanced planning systems.
• Multi-plant planning experience, including offshore operations.
• Excellent communication and influencing across teams.
• Highly organised, results-driven, able to operate at detail and system levels.
• Customer-centric mindset with effective communication across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Logistics to model cost-to-serve scenarios.
• Stward planning systems (ERP/MRP/APS) and champion data quality and digital improvement.
• Lead special projects, network optimisations and site consolidation planning.
• Coordinate special orders to big projects to deliver on time.
• Build dashboards and reporting for executives and key stakeholders.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Supply & Demand Planning Lead to own end-to-end demand and supply planning across our Australian plant and liaising with other plants in other regions. You’ll lead the S&OP process, turning commercial demand into actionable production and materials plans, while driving visibility, service, and cost outcomes across Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Procurement. This is a key role in driving efficiency, service, and cost performance across our network. You’ll work closely with multiple functions and directly influence how we deliver for our customers, now and as we grow.

What you'll do

• Lead the full demand and supply planning cycle across multiple business units and plants.
• Orchestrate S&OP, balancing commercial demand, capacity, and cost.
• Track and monitor imports working with the different plants outside of Australia to guarantee the smooth delivery
• Translate forecasts into firm production schedules and materials plans, managing freeze/flex rules.
• Drive inventory strategy, optimisation, and health across the network.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Logistics to mitigate constraints and model cost-to-serve scenarios.
• Steward planning systems (ERP/MRP/APS) and champion data quality and digital improvement initiatives.
• Lead special projects, network optimisations, and site consolidation planning.
• Coordinate special orders to big projects (Hotels, commercial buildings….) to deliver the project on time.
• Build clear dashboards and reporting for executives and key stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned

Who you are
