Job summary

The Australian Submarine Agency in Canberra is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join the Supply Chain Engineering Directorate. The role centers on governance, technical assurance and control to ensure safe and compliant delivery of submarine systems.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will develop assurance frameworks, assess supplier artifacts, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage risks and maintain regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering knowledge in regulated environments.
• Experience with governance, assurance and compliance processes.
• Ability to develop and interpret engineering documentation and evidence-based artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and maintenance of SCE governance, technical control and assurance documentation.
• Support technical assurance, certification and compliance processes across the supply chain.
• Conduct technical assessments and reviews to support informed decision making.
• Review technical documentation, OQE, supplier deliverables and compliance artefacts for alignment with requirements.
• Assist in supplier qualification, assurance and capability assessments, including audits and evaluations.
• Support engineering governance, requirements traceability and technical control arrangements.
