Job summary

Rezonate Recruitment is seeking a Senior Supervisor/Manager in Accounting & Tax for a remote-flexible role in regional Victoria. You will lead a team of accountants, manage client portfolios across trades, and coordinate with an offshore team to maintain high-quality output.

The role combines technical tax work with people development, serving as the primary contact for clients while overseeing BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax, and billing workflows.

Qualifications

• Public practice background with supervision/leadership experience.
• CPA/CA qualification and accounting degree.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance.

Supervisor / Manager - Accounting & Tax (Remote)

Want a senior role without the daily commute? This regional accounting practice is offering a remote-flexible Supervisor / Manager position, with just one office visit a fortnight.

They're now looking for a Supervisor / Manager to help lead the next chapter of the business.

About the role

This is a senior position for an accountant who enjoys both technical work and developing people. You'll manage a portfolio of clients while leading, mentoring and supporting a small team. You will:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of accountants, and work closely with the firm's offshore team to keep work flowing and quality high
• Allocate, review and sign off work prepared by the offshore team, giving clear feedback and helping lift their capability
• Manage a portfolio of clients across trades, medical, agriculture, hospitality and retail, as their primary point of contact
• Oversee BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax compliance, and the team's lodgement workflow
• Manage WIP, budgets and billing across your portfolio and team
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support, and handle complex queries escalated by the team
• Work closely with the directors on client strategy and practice improvement

About you

• Extensive public practice experience, with previous experience supervising or leading staff
• Degree qualified, and CPA/CA qualified
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-service skills
• Comfortable managing your own portfolio while reviewing and developing others' work
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, FYI Docs and/or QuickBooks (advantageous, not essential)
• Self-motivated and organised, so you work well in a remote setup
• A proactive approach and a commitment to quality work
