Job summary

Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) in Gladstone is seeking a Supervisor - Maintenance Planning to lead the scheduling and coordination of refinery maintenance activities, ensuring resource productivity and production capability. You will provide governance across the Work Management Process, develop the maintenance planning team's capability, run KPI deep dives, and oversee budgets, forecasts and reporting.

The role is residential in Gladstone with strong relocation and private health insurance

About your role

QAL has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor - Maintenance Planning to join our Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Asset Maintenance Superintendent, this role supports our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

• Leading the planning and scheduling maintenance activities for equipment and systems within the refinery to enable resource productivity and production capability
• Provide Governance to the Work Management Process across the Refinery ensuring standardisation, alignment and improvement in practices
• Develop the capability of the maintenance planning team and stakeholders in Work management through coaching, facilitating training and creating opportunities for development.
• Lead and drive maintenance KPI Deep Dives, Deliver on improvements
• Oversight of budget development, forecasting and reporting

What you will bring

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvementin all aspects of your work
• A natural desire to lead, provide governance across and improve maturity in work management processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build trust across teams and stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance management practices, leading teams and implementing process improvements across multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, SAP and other Maintenance Systems
• Experience in developing and forecasting large operational budgets
