Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a Supervisor Conveyor & Services for Roy Hill Mine on an 8/6 days roster, FIFO from Perth. You will lead Central Services maintenance, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safe, reliable maintenance to maximise equipment availability.

The role requires supervision experience in mining, conveyor maintenance, and a WA driver’s license, with S26 certification preferred. This is a site-based role at Roy Hill Mine in Western Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience at Supervisor Level in a processing environment/large scale mining.
• Experience in conveyor maintenance, cranes and scaffolding, maintenance planning, and maintenance execution is desirable.
• S26 Statutory Supervisor Certification
• Current WA Drivers Licence, Unrestricted C Class

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Central Services maintenance personnel, including subcontractors, with a focus on safe, planned work.
• Develop a culture of conformance to plan and address unacceptable behaviour using disciplinary processes.
• Assist Superintendents with recruitment and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Supervise maintenance personnel, conduct performance reviews, and manage handovers.
• Coach and train team members, oversee training plans, and seek improvements.
• Manage weekly work and shutdowns to ensure reliable, cost-effective repairs and inspections.
• Contribute to the annual Processing Maintenance budget and uphold safety and environmental policies.

About the role:

The Process Plant team is currently seeking a Supervisor Conveyor & Services to join them on a 8/6 Days Only Roster based at Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to theSuperintendent Maintenance Services, you will be responsible forsafe and effective execution of maintenance plans, rapidresponse to equipment issues and the maximisation of availability and reliability at an optimised cost.

Duties:

• Provide leadership and direction to all Central Services maintenance personnel, including subcontractors, while reinforcing a risk-based, behavioural safety system and setting clear performance expectations
• Develop a culture that values conformance to plan, address unacceptable behaviour using the disciplinary process, and identify training and development opportunities for team members
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, identify required skills within the department, and assist Superintendents with recruitment
• Supervise maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient and effective work practices, conducting regular performance reviews, and managing handover processes
• Coach, train, and influence team members, oversee training and induction plans, and seek continuous improvement opportunities for people, processes, and equipment
• Manage weekly work and shutdowns to ensure timely, safe, and rigorous repairs and inspections, resulting in high equipment reliability and minimal breakdowns
• Provide input into the annual Processing Maintenance budget and ensure activities meet organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, and environmental policies
• Follow Roy Hill Work and Shutdown Management processes, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration, set targets for high schedule compliance, and ensure maintenance Work Instructions (WINs) are documented and followed to minimize risk and ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and permit requirements

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in conveyor maintenance, cranes and scaffolding, maintenance planning, and maintenance execution is desirable
