Job summary

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking an experienced Landfill Supervisor to lead the safe and compliant operation of our waste management facilities in the Bundaberg region. You will oversee day-to-day landfill activities, supervise staff and contractors, and coordinate capital projects to support growing community needs.

The role requires strong WHS knowledge, environmental management practices and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supervising operational teams and delivering capital projects within earthmoving, construction, landfill, civil works or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, environmental management practices, and legislative compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to coordinate contractors, manage resources and achieve project outcomes within budget and timeframes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to prepare reports and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• A current C Class and HR licence, White Card, and strong administrative and technology skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Landfill Supervisor to lead the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of our waste management facilities. In this role, you will oversee landfill operations, coordinate capital projects, supervise employees and contractors, and ensure compliance with environmental and legislative requirements. Working closely with operational teams, you will help deliver sustainable waste management services that support the current and future needs of our growing community.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine operational leadership, project management and environmental stewardship while contributing to essential community infrastructure and services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
