Bundaberg Regional Council is hiring a Plant Operator to support landfill operations, plant operation and site maintenance. You will operate heavy equipment under the Technical Officer Landfill Operations and ensure safety and waste management compliance.

The role requires licences (LL, LZ, HC), a White Card, and substantial experience with loaders, bulldozers and semi-trailers, plus knowledge of Queensland DOT rules. Casual, on-site work in Bundaberg region.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory National Police Check (name only).
• Current HC class driver's licence (articulated vehicle/semi-trailer).
• General Construction Induction (White Card).
• Licence to operate Front End Loader (LL).
• Licence to operate a Bulldozer (LZ).
• Substantial experience operating front end loader, bulldozer and semi-trailer.
• Sound knowledge of Queensland Department of Transport rules and regulations.
• Experience in waste management facilities would be an advantage.

About The Opportunity

As a Plant Operator, you will support the day-to-day operation of Council's waste management facilities, with a strong focus on landfill operations, plant operation, and site maintenance. Reporting to the Technical Officer Landfill Operations, you will operate a range of heavy equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and waste management requirements.

About You

• Satisfactory National Police Check (name only)

• General Construction Induction (White Card)
• Licence to operate a Front End Loader (LL)
• Licence to operate a Bulldozer (LZ)
• Substantial experience in the operation of front end loader, bulldozer and semi-trailer
• Sound knowledge of relevant Queensland Department of Transport rules and regulations
• Experience in the operations of waste management facilities would be an advantage
