Job summary

Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is seeking a full-time Functions Supervisor at the MCG to lead event setup, service, and pack-down, coordinating with functions, sales and operations teams, including kitchens to deliver exceptional guest experiences at a premier sports and entertainment venue.

You will inspect venues, manage timelines, arrange dining areas and equipment, and ensure readiness and presentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in functions supervision.
• Experience in events is beneficial.
• Strong skills in computer literacy, communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work varied hours to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise event setup, service, and pack-down activities.
• Set up dining areas, cafés, meeting rooms, conference spaces, banquet halls, and event venues according to client requirements.
• Ensure tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, buffet stations, coffee stations, and service areas are correctly arranged.
• Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure venue presentation and operational readiness.
• Manage event timelines and ensure all activities run according to schedule.

As Functions Supervisor, you will be working closely with the functions, sales and operations teams, including kitchens, to use your expertise to oversee various functions. You will be driving exceptional guest service in this thriving sporting and entertainment venue.
