Job summary

Visy is hiring for a hands-on role to support day-to-day operations at the recycling plant. You will manage intake bays, load trucks, and operate forklifts while maintaining safety standards and completing required paperwork.

This full-time, day-shift position requires a current LF forklift license, a valid Driver’s licence, and the ability to work both in a team and independently. You’ll contribute to a clean, compliant work environment, follow HACCP and OHS policies, and meet Visy’s employment

Qualifications

• Hold current LF forklift certification and a valid driver’s licence.
• Competent front end loader operator in an industrial setting.
• EWP Yellow Card is advantageous.
• Able to perform manual handling tasks as required.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously with good work ethic.
• Adhere to and maintain OHS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this hands on role supports the running of the day to day operations and manage material flow of our busy recycling plant whilst driving safe work practices. This is a full time permanent position working day shift hours.

What You Will Do:

• Manage workflow of the intake bays with incoming vehicles
• Loading trucks with commingle waste
• Operation of Counterbalance, grab forklifts and front end loaders
• Complete mandatory dockets and paperwork for load requirements
• Ensure a high level of safety; overseeing the cleanliness of equipment and areas, codes of practice, and follow relevant procedures.
• Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental, Health and Safety and HACCP.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

• Hold current LF forklift and Driver’s licence.
• Be a competent front end loader operator in an industrial environment.
• EWP Yellow Card is advantageous
• Able to carry out manual handling tasks when required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and part of a team.
• Adhere, uphold, and maintain OHS policies and procedures.
