Job summary

NSW Health's SESLHD MHS seeks a Suicide Prevention Manager, Health Manager Level 3, to lead and scale the Towards Zero Suicides program. Based at SESLHD MHS offices in Sydney with travel across the district, you will coordinate clinical redesign and stakeholder engagement to reduce suicidality and improve care pathways.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a health or management related field.
• Experience with evidence-based approaches for suicidality.
• Experience in complex program management with multi-project delivery and reporting.
• Strong clinical advocacy and leadership to influence workplace culture.
• High-level verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders.
• High-level analytical and problem solving skills with authoritative advice.
• Ability to coordinate, deliver and evaluate education and training programs.
• Unrestricted driver's license and ability to travel within District.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and scale-up of Towards Zero Suicides activities.
• Build capacity to respond to people experiencing suicidality.
• Develop suicide care pathways and deliver clinical suicide prevention training.
• Identify opportunities for improvement from critical incidents.
• Promote a restorative just culture prioritising staff safety.
• Provide clinical, change and project management expertise and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate programs with lived experience input.
