Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District's Mental Health Service is seeking a highly motivated Suicide Prevention Manager to lead the Towards Zero Suicides program. Based at SESLHD MHS offices on the St George Hospital campus, Kogarah, the role will drive planning, implementation and scale-up of integrated suicide prevention activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a health or management related field.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with evidence-based approaches in clinical care for suicidality.
• Experience in complex program management aligned to strategic objectives; ability to plan, manage multiple projects, measure progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and scale-up of Towards Zero Suicides activities.
• Build the mental health service's capacity to respond to suicidality.
• Develop suicide care pathways and deliver contemporary clinical suicide prevention training.
• Identify opportunities for improvement from critical incidents and promote a restorative culture.
