Job summary

Abaxa is seeking an experienced Subsurface Utility Locator to join our WA field team. You will locate utilities using EM and GPR, interpret plans, map infrastructure, and produce clear reports for projects across metro and regional sites.

You will work with customers and project teams, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards while owning jobs from start to finish. Training and career development are supported with pathways to Cert III/IV.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ utility locating or similar field experience.
• Certloc Locator qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card
• Strong safety focus
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using EM and GPR equipment.
• Interpret utility plans and service records.
• Mark, map and document underground infrastructure accurately.
• Work directly with customers and project teams in the field.
• Complete clear reports, sketches and digital records.
• Maintain and care for locating equipment.
• Work safely around critical underground infrastructure.
• Take ownership of your jobs from start to finish.
