Airswift is seeking a Subsea Controls Systems Engineer for a 24-month assignment in Perth, Western Australia. The role requires a bachelor degree and hands-on experience across design, procurement, testing and operations of subsea control systems.

Travel to supplier, fabrication and offshore sites will be required. You will coordinate with facilities, installation, operations, quality and supply chain teams, maintain schedules and budgets, and lead safety-conscious execution.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Subsea controls experience in offshore oil and gas or safety-critical industry.
• Experience across design, procurement, manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning or operations support of controls systems.
• Experience managing suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary technical interfaces.
• Strong documentation and technical handover capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop controls philosophies, design bases, and specifications.
• Assess subsea production control systems, modules, distribution equipment, and interfaces.
• Support vendor engineering, document reviews, technical queries, deviations and design changes.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, readiness reviews, FAT and integration testing.
• Coordinate across facilities, installation, operations, commissioning, quality, supply chain and project controls.
• Monitor scope, schedule, cost, quality and technical performance while identifying and mitigating risks.

Job Title: Subsea Controls Systems Engineer Duration: 24 months Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour days Location: Perth WA

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Mechatronic or a related engineering discipline

Required Experience

• Relevant subsea controls experience in offshore oil and gas, energy or another safety-critical industry
• Experience across design, procurement, manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning or operations support of controls systems
• Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary technical interfaces
• Experience supporting equipment design, assembly, testing, delivery and technical handover

Required Skills

• Ability to develop controls philosophies, design bases, functional requirements, specifications, data sheets and interface documents
• Working knowledge of subsea, topsides and onshore controls equipment, architecture and interfaces, including electrical power, communications and hydraulics
• Technical capability across subsea production control systems, modules, distribution equipment, flying leads and related components
• Ability to support vendor engineering, document reviews, technical queries, deviations and design changes
• Experience participating in design reviews, risk assessments, readiness reviews, factory acceptance testing and integration testing
• Strong coordination skills across facilities, installation, operations, commissioning, quality, supply chain and project controls
• Ability to monitor scope, schedule, cost, quality and technical performance while identifying and mitigating risks
• Strong technical record keeping and ability to provide concise progress, risk and decision updates
• Commitment to safety, environmental and quality leadership during supplier and facility visits
• Ability to travel internationally and attend supplier, fabrication, test and offshore facilities
• Ability to meet applicable site access, medical and travel requirements
