Job summary

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for its ICT team to connect laboratory practice with the systems that support timely, accurate pathology results. This talent pool will be used to consider candidates for future opportunities in Adelaide.

You will translate workflows into system requirements, shape and test solutions, and provide production support for LIS including Oracle Health Millennium and PathNet, while training staff and documenting

Qualifications

• Hold a pathology or medical laboratory science degree or equivalent qualification and experience.
• Extensive laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory information systems.
• Translate clinical workflows into clear system requirements and practical solutions.

About the role

Join SA Pathology’s ICT team as a Subject Matter Expert and help connect laboratory practice with the systems that support timely, accurate pathology results. This talent pool will be used to consider candidates for future opportunities in Adelaide.

You will work with laboratory teams, ICT colleagues and other stakeholders to translate workflows into system requirements, shape and test solutions, and support implementation. You will document changes, train staff and provide specialist advice and production support for laboratory information systems, including Oracle Health Millennium and PathNet.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold a relevant pathology or medical laboratory science degree, or equivalent qualification and experience
• Bring extensive laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory information systems
• Translate clinical workflows into clear system requirements and practical solutions
• Communicate effectively across laboratory and ICT teams, and support testing, training and change
