Job summary

Downer’s Energy & Utilities division seeks an experienced Subcontracts Lead to steer subcontracting for major infrastructure and utility projects. You will develop strategies, lead commercial negotiations and manage contractual risk to deliver on project objectives.

You will work closely with procurement, commercial, legal, engineering and delivery teams to drive strong commercial outcomes and governance compliance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive subcontracting and contract management experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction contracts and risk allocation.
• Experience leading commercial negotiations and reviewing departures.
• Ability to develop subcontracting strategies aligned with project delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across legal, commercial, procurement and delivery.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce or related field; MBA desirable.
