Job summary

Parkview Constructions Pty is seeking a Sub-Foreman to join our Sydney team. The role focuses on coordinating design and structural elements, services reticulation, formwork erection, equipment and crews, and overseeing finishes and defects on high-profile projects.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ensure quality, safety and environmental standards while managing day-to-day on-site activities and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and authorities.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum).
• At least 2 years in a similar position.
• Experience in high rise construction projects preferable.
• Reading and understanding plans and drawings, and providing constructive review for final designs.
• Positive temperament with established presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with leadership and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-focused approach working with diverse people.
• Knowledge of construction from excavation through to finishes.

Responsibilities

• Manage specific construction activities to maximise productive use of materials and resources.
• Coordinate site correspondence in conjunction with the Site Manager.
• Maintain quality assurance and ensure building compliance.
• Monitor environmental site-specific issues.
• Notify the Site Manager of issues impacting operations.
• Maintain relationships with authorities, subcontractors and delegates.
• Monitor and mark up all programmes.
• Supervise day-to-day site events and proceedings on site.
• Participate in Sub-Foreman program and required paperwork.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sub-Foreman to join the team. The Sub-Foreman role is critical to coordinating the design and structural elements, the design of services reticulation, formwork erection, materials handling, services coordination through to finishes, facades and defects as well as overseeing plant equipment and crews of trades responsible for the structure and detail of the project.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Sub-Foreman is responsible for:

• Management of specific construction activities to achieve the most productive use of available materials and construction resources (internal and external).
• Work in conjunction with the Site Manager regarding receipt and distribution of all relevant site correspondence.
• Maintain overall quality assurance whilst ensuring building compliance.
• Maintain and monitor all environmental site-specific issues.
• Notify the Site Manager of any issues likely to have a substantial impact on operations.
• Maintain professional relationships with relevant authorities, sub-contractors and delegates.
• Monitor & mark up all programmes.
• Supervise day to day events & proceedings on site.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning by actively participating in the Sub-Foreman Program and completing all associated paperwork in required timeframes.

Desired Skills and Experience
