Job summary

AMajor Civil Contractor is seeking a Sub Agent – Highways to join their highways team on a major civil engineering project. The role involves supporting the Site Manager, helping manage site plans and leading an engineering crew on site in Cambridge.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree or diploma, experience with main contractors on large projects, and a solid understanding of CDM Regulations, safety, quality and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree / diploma level in a civil engineering discipline.
• Previous experience of working for a main contractor on major civil engineering projects is essential.
• Organisational skills
• Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM Regulations
• Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work
• Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues
• Experience in construction.
