Bribie Island State High School is seeking a compassionate Guidance Officer to support students' social, emotional, behavioural and educational wellbeing through counselling, assessments and tailored support plans.

The role involves collaborating with families, teachers, leadership and external agencies to ensure inclusive learning and successful transitions, with a focus on safeguarding and evidence-based practice. Temporary full-time from 21 Jan 2027 to 10 Dec 2027.

Formación

• Experience counselling and supporting student wellbeing.
• Ability to collaborate with families, teachers, and external agencies.
• Experience in assessing student needs and developing support plans.

Responsabilidades

• Provide counselling and individualised support to students with diverse challenges.
• Coordinate with school staff and external agencies to arrange referrals.
• Develop educational adjustments and intervention plans.
• Support student transitions and career pathways, including SET planning.
• Maintain confidential student records in accordance with policy.
