Job summary

Parade College is seeking a qualified Psychologist or Counsellor to join its Student Wellbeing Support Team on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE) with immediate commencement possible. The role focuses on enhancing student wellbeing through counselling, early intervention and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Holds relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or counselling.
• Psychologists must be currently registered with AHPRA.
• Counsellors must be registered with, or eligible for registration with, the ACA (or equivalent).
• Social Workers must be eligible for membership with the AASW and comply with relevant professional standards.
• Experience with traumah histories and working with students at risk is desirable.
• Experience in effective case management and facilitation is desirable.
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Understanding of trauma, mental health and social and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counselling support to improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
• Deliver targeted wellbeing interventions for students with complex needs.
• Assist in coordinating student support services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support teachers to develop and implement programs for students with additional needs.
• Provide expert advice on student wellbeing, mental health, and engagement.
• Collaborate with team members to manage and support complex student cases.
• Contribute to professional learning and development of student support staff.
• Liaise with families, schools, community agencies, health services, and external professionals to coordinate student support.
