Job summary

Anglicare WA is seeking a part-time Student Wellbeing Support worker based at Newman Senior High School. This max-term role is 2 days per week (15 hours) through to January 2027, with pay delivered fortnightly and entitlements including annual and personal leave, plus allowances.

You will engage with students, connect them to professional staff, outreach to disengaged learners and families, and run school wellbeing workshops, while upholding child safe and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Youth Work or equivalent allowing registration as counsellor, teacher or social worker.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced school environment.
• Knowledge of issues affecting children and young people.
• Ability to engage with Aboriginal and CaLD youth and diverse backgrounds.
• Anglicare WA Employee Collective Agreement.
• Contract length: 29 January 2027.
• Work only during school terms.

Responsibilities

• Engage with students through school-based activities and connect them with staff.

• Participate in planning and delivery within Newman Senior High School.
