Job summary

The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) seeks a Transport Liaison Officer in Launceston, Tasmania to coordinate day-to-day operations, planning and rostering of Bus Attendants for students with disability across DECYP schools. You will liaise with families, schools, transport providers and government departments to ensure safe, reliable, and equitable transport access.

Qualifications

• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment.
• Desirable: Experience working with children and young people who have complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations, planning and rostering of Bus Attendants for students with disability across DECYP schools.
• Liaise with families, schools, transport providers and DECYP business units.
• Collaborate with the Department of State Growth to understand and address transport needs and resolve challenges.
