Job summary

Stanley College is seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to assist students with disability, accessibility, inclusion and learning equity needs at the Mirrabooka Campus. You will assess support requirements, coordinate adjustments and implement tailored plans aligned with regulations.

You will work with students, academic staff and support teams to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment that promotes wellbeing and positive outcomes for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant diploma or equivalent, with experience providing advice to students, particularly in relation to accessibility, inclusion or wellbeing support
• Understanding of higher education disability support, reasonable adjustments, and inclusive learning practices
• Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Disability Discrimination Act or local accessibility regulations

Responsibilities

• Assess student support needs to ensure equitable access to education
• Communicate with key stakeholders to coordinate support
• Provide a strengths-based approach to disability management
• Educate staff on needs and management of students with disability or learning equity needs
• Ensure friendly, safe access to the learning equity service
• Promote learning equity services internally
