Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited's Specialised Asset Finance team seeks an Analyst/Associate to execute asset-based investments across capital structures, from senior secured debt to structured equity, across sectors including digital infrastructure, technology, resources, energy, and financial services.

You will contribute to underwriting, financial analysis, industry research, and shepherding transactions through internal approvals, with opportunities to take on leadership and broaden credit exposure.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in a finance-related environment (investment banking, corporate/project finance, advisory, accounting or similar).
• Excellent financial, valuation, and credit analysis skills.
• Demonstrated success in a relevant financial product and intellectual curiosity to learn other asset classes.

Responsibilities

Join Macquarie's Specialised Asset Finance, an opportunistic & entrepreneurial asset-based principal investment team, to focus on execution of asset-based investments across the capital structure in multiple formats, from senior secured debt through structured equity - across various sectors including digital infrastructure, technology, resources, energy, industrials, financial services and other sectors, focusing on investments from A$50-250M+.

What role will you play?

As an Analyst/Associate you will have the opportunity to work on a strong pipeline of transactions as a principal investor. You will play a key role in our underwriting process, financial analysis, industry research, and shepherding investments through the internal approval process. You will be part of growing team which provides significant opportunities to take on leadership roles and to have a key role in driving transactions. Our flexible mandate means that while the focus will be credit investments, you will gain experience investing across the capital structure. You will work alongside senior, experienced investment professionals who will take an active role in helping to develop your career and skills.
