Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in Sydney is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join the Market Operations team within Group Treasury Operations. You will oversee deal support, initial operational setup, lifecycle events, and cross‑border cash and FX activity to support Macquarie Asset Management and Macquarie Capital.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operations, finance or related role.
• Passion for financial markets and a career in financial services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
• Innovative mindset, ready to drive change and challenge the status quo.
• Analytical thinker with ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Tertiary degree in Commerce or business-related area highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for deal support and initial operational setup.
• Manage lifecycle event transactions and related stakeholder queries.
• Support daily operations including cash transactions and funding coordination.
• Assist with FX trades execution and related reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships for operational support.

Join our Deal Management team, within the wider Group Treasury Operations group, who are responsible for successful balance sheet operations (including funding, settlements and FX support) on behalf of Macquarie Asset Management and Macquarie Capital. Our team manages all on-going global transactions throughout their lifecycle from pre-settlement to termination.

In this role, you will take responsibility for deal support, including initial operational setup, managing life‑cycle event transactions, and addressing related queries from both internal and external stakeholders. You will support daily operations by facilitating internal and external cash transactions, coordinating funding requirements to ensure smooth financial operations, and providing support for the execution of foreign exchange trades. Additionally, you will assist with various reporting requirements to help maintain accurate financial records. You will also develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to manage operational support requirements. You will be encouraged to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives - such as leveraging AI solutions - to streamline operations and boost productivity, while also supporting team performance management and development to drive overall success.
