Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Bunbury, WA is seeking a Structures Operator to join our Bridges and Structures team. This is a hands-on role for someone with a carpentry background transitioning into construction, delivering bridge construction and maintenance works across Western Australia.

You will develop skills in timber, concrete and reinforced concrete structures, operate small to medium construction machinery, and grow within a supportive team that values safety, reliability and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to learn timber, concrete bridge and reinforced concrete construction.
• Experience with small to medium construction machinery is desired.
• Reinforced concrete construction experience preferred but not essential.
• Working at Heights accreditation preferred.
• High-risk licences (scaffolding, dogging and EWP) preferred.
• White Card.
• Valid driver's licence, HR or above preferred.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and travel away from home.

Responsibilities

• Part of a dynamic team delivering bridge construction and maintenance works.

Our Infrastructure Services business is seeking a Structures Operator to join our Bridges and Structures team based in Bunbury, working across a diverse range of projects throughout Western Australia. This is a great opportunity for a qualified carpenter, or someone with equivalent experience, looking to transition into the construction industry and build a long-term career in a specialised area of infrastructure. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering bridge construction and maintenance works, with the chance to develop highly valued skills across timber, concrete and reinforced concrete structures.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone with Certificate III in Carpentry or demonstrated equivalent experience, along with:

• A willingness to learn all aspects of timber, concrete bridge, and reinforced concrete construction
• A strong desire to learn to operate small to medium sized construction machinery
• Reinforced concrete construction experience preferred, but not essential
• Working at Heights accreditation preferred
• High-risk licences in scaffolding, dogging and EWP preferred, but not essential
• White Card
• Valid driver's licence, with HR or above preferred
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and travel away from home as required
