Akura in Australia is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, delivering protective coatings to structural steel in fast-paced industrial environments. You will apply high-quality finishes, work safely, and meet project specifications while contributing to quality and efficiency.

With 3+ years in structural steel painting and a hands-on attitude, you’ll collaborate with trades, maintain clean work areas, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a structural steel processor.
• Background as a skilled labourer.
• Strong understanding of paint application methods and techniques.
• Ability to mix paint and coating materials to the correct consistency.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Painting structural steel and applying protective coatings to the required specifications
• Mixing paint and other coating materials to the correct consistency
• Inspecting completed work to make sure it meets quality standards
• Ensuring the finished product is of a consistently high standard
• Following all safety regulations, procedures and guidelines
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and well organised work area
• Working independently as well as part of a team
