Job summary

Taylor Thomson Whitting in North Sydney NSW is seeking a highly experienced Structural Revit Drafter to collaborate with engineers and architects to produce high-quality drawings and construction documentation for a range of building and infrastructure projects.

You will draft from initial sketches, liaise on documentation, assist with preliminary designs, input ideas for drafting system improvements, and communicate project information to the lead engineer and team.

Qualifications

• TAFE qualification required.
• Demonstrated 5–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in structural drafting using Revit.

Responsibilities

• Draft from engineers' initial sketches to produce working drawings interpreted by builders.
• Liaise with engineers and architects on preparation and coordination of documentation.
• Assist Lead Engineer in preparation of preliminary sketches from architectural drawings as required.
• Actively input ideas to improve drafting systems.
• Communicate project information to project leaders and the team.

• Competentlydraftfromengineersinitialsketchdesigntoproduceworkingdrawingswhichcanbeinterpretedbybuilders.
• Liaisewithengineersandarchitectsonthepreparationandcoordinationofdocumentation.
• AssistLeadEngineerinthepreparationofpreliminarysketchdesignsfromarchitecturaldrawingsasrequired.
• Activelyinputideastotheprogressiveimprovementofthedraftingsystems
• Communicaterelevantprojectinformationasappropriatetotheprojectleaders/projectteam.
