Job summary

Thitchener Consulting on the NSW Central Coast is seeking an experienced structural engineer with a degree in structural engineering and NSW design practitioner registration to join our small, professional team.

You will design and draft using ETabs/Safe and AutoCAD, liaise with architects, builders and clients by email, phone and in‑office meetings, and ensure compliance with AS1170 and related standards. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Qualifications

• Degree in structural engineering and NSW design practitioner registration.
• Proficiency in ETabs/Safe and AutoCAD for design and drafting.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards AS1170.1/2, AS1720, AS3600.

We are a well-established structural engineering firm situated on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW, specialising in construction engineering for architects, builders and property developers.

We are seeking an experienced structural engineer with a degree in structural engineering and registration as a design practitioner with Fair Trading NSW to fill a very busy role in our small, professional and friendly office.

The role involves liaising with our clients by email, phone and in-office meetings and structural design and drafting using the following software:

• CSi software - eTabs and Safe
• AutoCAD

The candidate will be required to demonstrate competence in the software listed

The candidate will need to be well versed in Australian Standards:

• AS1170.1
• AS1170.2
• AS1720
• AS2870
• AS3600
• AS4100

Hours are Monday to Friday in office, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
