Job summary

Platinum Consulting Engineers in Melbourne is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This full-time role involves designing, analysing and overseeing the structural integrity of diverse projects across Victoria, from commercial buildings to civil infrastructure.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, prepare drawings and calculations, review documentation, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Membership with Engineers Australia (CPEng or candidate)
• 3–5 years post-graduate experience in structural design and analysis

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural systems for a variety of projects including commercial, residential and civil infrastructure works.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations to assess structural conditions.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, clients and authorities to ensure compliance.
• Review construction documentation and building permits to ensure adherence to standards.
• Provide technical guidance throughout all project phases and mentor junior staff.
