Job summary

Colliers in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Engineering and Design team. You will contribute to the structural design of commercial, retail, health, industrial, high-rise and education projects across Australia.

You will prepare design sketches, oversee documentation, and liaise with clients, government authorities and engineers to ensure on-time, accurate delivery. Site inspections and collaboration are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Tertiary level qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience.
• Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients and other engineers.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Australian Standards, Local Government Authority Standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to developing structural design across a range of project cycles utilizing relevant standards and best practice methodologies.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of design in structural engineering with a focus on Property and Building projects.
• Preparation of design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversee the design development and documentation.
• Liaising with and coordinating various stakeholders including clients, local government, and authorities.
• Meet our client expectations of projects being delivered on time and with a high degree of accuracy.
• Attend site for inspections.
