Job summary

Nexmin is a Perth-based, multi-discipline engineering consultancy delivering structural design solutions for mineral processing facilities. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver design, analysis and documentation from concept to execution.

This full-time role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with SpaceGASS and Strand7, Australian standards, and a practical, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years in an engineering or project delivery environment.
• Strong capability in structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures.
• Experience in mining preferred, but buildings/infrastructure acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and Australian Building Codes.
• Proficient with SpaceGASS and/or Strand7.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural design and analysis for mineral processing facilities, including steel and concrete structures.
• Develop and check engineering calculations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
• Perform structural modelling and analysis using SpaceGASS and Strand7.
• Produce and review technical deliverables, including reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and integrated design outcomes.
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to execution.
• Contributing to design reviews and continuous improvement.

The Role

Structural Engineer

Reporting to the Structural Engineering Manager you are responsible for delivering structural engineering solutions across a range of mineral processing projects.

The role contributes to the design, analysis, and documentation of structural systems, supporting project delivery from concept through to execution.

Working within a multidisciplinary team this position also plays a key role in ensuring designs are efficient, compliant, and aligned with client and project requirements.

The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis.

Brief Duties

• Deliver structural design and analysis for mineral processing facilities, including steel and concrete structures

Criteria

• Strong capability in structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures
• Experience in mining preferred, but will consider a background in buildings and infrastructure
• Strong experience with Australian Standards and Australian Building Codes
• Strong working knowledge of SpaceGASS and/or Strand7
• Practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Valid Australian working rights
