Job summary

WSP's Adelaide Mining team is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join their growing practice. You'll work across a portfolio of sustaining capital and brownfields mining projects, delivering safe and efficient structural designs.

You'll collaborate with civil, mechanical, and geotechnical teams, take ownership of design packages, prepare calculations, and support project delivery from concept to construction in a supportive, collaborative environment in Australia.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Approximately 5–10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience in mining, resources, heavy industrial, or related sectors.
• Knowledge of Australian structural design standards and practices.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering designs for mining and industrial facilities
• Prepare calculations, design documentation, technical reports, and specifications
• Contribute to studies, detailed design, and construction support activities
• Design steel, concrete, and associated structural systems for brownfields and sustaining capital projects
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated project outcomes
• Participate in site inspections, structural assessments, and condition evaluations as required
• Support project delivery through planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement
• Ensure designs meet client, regulatory, and safety requirements

What you’ll do:

We're seeking a Structural Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our Adelaide Mining team. In this role, you'll work across a diverse portfolio of small to medium sustaining capital and brownfields mining projects, helping our clients improve, maintain, and expand their operations safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of structural design packages, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and further develop your technical and project delivery capabilities within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About you:
