Job summary

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) is seeking experienced Structural and/or Industrial Coating Supervisors to oversee structural maintenance and protective coating activities on site in Hay Point, Queensland. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise works to ensure safe, efficient delivery to high standards.

Lead teams, coordinate contractors and site personnel, monitor progress and quality, and ensure compliance with safety and industry specifications in a heavy industrial environment.

Structural and/or Industrial Coating Supervisors

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) is seeking experienced Structural and/or Industrial Coating Supervisors to join our team and oversee structural maintenance and protective coating activities across site. About the Role

Reporting to the Protective Coating & Structural Maintenance Superintendent, the Structural and/or Industrial Coating Supervisors will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising structural maintenance and protective coating works to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supervising structural maintenance and protective coating teams.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety requirements, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinating contractors and site personnel to achieve project objectives.
• Monitoring quality, progress, and productivity of work activities.
• Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
• Promoting a positive safety culture and leading by example.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within structural maintenance, protective coatings, industrial blasting and painting, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience working within heavy industry, mining, ports, resources, or construction environments.
• A strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
• The ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and stakeholders effectively.
• Sound planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Trade qualification relevant to structural maintenance or protective coatings.
• Coating inspection qualifications or relevant industry certifications.
• Experience managing contractor workforces.
• Knowledge of asset integrity and maintenance management practices.
