National Civil & Foundations Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Street Sweeper/Water Cart Operator for dust suppression and sweeping across yards, roadways and work areas in Melbourne.

This hands-on role requires a current HR or Medium Ridged license, experience with street sweeping equipment (ROSMECH Sweeper), and a commitment to safety and reliable transport. You will support civil maintenance tasks and maintain records under the Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Current driver licence (Medium Ridged or HR) is mandatory.
• White Card required or safety training as per site.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Operate ROSMECH Sweeper and Street Sweeping trucks.
• Sweep yards, roadways and work areas; perform dust suppression.
• Carry out daily inspections and report defects to Team Leader.
• Maintain records of completed tasks and materials used.
• Support civil infrastructure maintenance tasks as required.

About the Role

NCF is looking for an experienced Street Sweeper/Water Cart Operator for sweeping and dust suppression operations on yards, roadways and work areas.

This is a hands‑on role that is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, takes pride in quality outcomes, and brings a strong background in civil road sweeping and dust suppression.

Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate a ROSMECH Sweeper
• Support civil infrastructure maintenance tasks in accordance with all works programs
• Sweeping operational yards, roadways and work areas
• Carrying out dust suppression across sites
• Using vacuum and suction equipment to clean out pits and drains
• Maintain accurate records of completed tasks as required by the Team Leader
• Removing water, mud, silt and debris from drainage and sediment areas
• Maintaining clean, safe and organised operational yards
• Safe operation of Street sweeping trucks, Water Carts and equipment
• Ensuring all tools, vehicles and equipment are used correctly, maintained in a safe operational condition and all hazards/defects are reported to the Team Leader
• Completing daily pre‑start inspections
• Completing the correct shut‑down and end‑of‑day cleaning process for the street sweeper
• Reporting machine defects, hazards and environmental risks immediately
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment and treating company property with care
• General yard duties as required

About You

• Current Driver Licence / Medium Ridged or HR licence (Mandatory)
• Relevant plant tickets are highly regarded (Desirable)
• Construction or trades related industry experience with Street Sweeping operating (Mandatory)
• Experience in the use of a variety of tools, plant and mechanical equipment relating to civil maintenance (Desirable)
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• White Card, valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
