Job summary

Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking a proactive Workforce and Policy Advisor to join our People and Culture team. You will lead development and implementation of workforce initiatives, policies and governance frameworks to support a thriving, future-focused workforce.

You will work with leaders across the organisation to deliver the Workforce Plan, Gender Equality Action Plan and reporting obligations while ensuring employment documentation remains compliant and fit for purpose.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning and policy development.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks and employment policy documents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and review of the Workforce Plan.
• Analyse workforce data to support evidence-based decisions.
• Develop and maintain People and Culture policies and governance.
• Coordinate gender equality initiatives and reporting obligations.
• Maintain employment contracts and workforce documentation.
