Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Technical Accountant to analyze complex transactions, support statutory reporting, and strengthen financial reporting practices across our health, aged care and community services groups.

You will collaborate with the Technical Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver practical, commercially aligned accounting solutions while maintaining high standards of governance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in business or accounting is required.
• CA or CPA designation is highly regarded.
• Minimum five years' experience in external audit, statutory financial reporting or financial accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Group and entity general-purpose financial statements and supporting workpapers.
• Provide technical accounting analysis and position papers for routine and complex transactions.
• Support audit coordination with external auditors and improve reporting quality.
