Job summary

NEC is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager in Canberra to join our Delivery team, acting as the trusted technical advisor and senior customer-facing representative for a Federal client. You will be the primary interface between the Department and our delivery teams to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvement of the Department's ICT environment.

Reporting to the Customer Delivery Manager, you will bring strategic technical insight, relationship management, and service

Qualifications

• 7+ years of ICT service delivery or related leadership roles.
• Experience within Federal Government or large enterprise ICT environments.
• Strong track record managing customer relationships in managed services.
• Practical knowledge of ITIL frameworks and multi-provider/SIAM environments.
• Broad technical knowledge spanning multi-cloud, hybrid infrastructure and DevOps.
• Exceptional stakeholder management with influence without direct authority.
• Cloud platform certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical advice on emerging technologies and roadmaps.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Department stakeholders as the primary technical contact for ITSM and SIAM.
• Guide delivery teams to ensure high-quality service outcomes and monitor Change, Incident, Problem, Event Monitoring and Capacity Management.
• Drive a pipeline of continuous improvement initiatives and measure business value.
• Quality assure technical change documentation and promote governance and change practices.
• Provide oversight of reporting and present operational insights to governance forums.
