Job summary

Townsville City Council is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor on a fixed-term full-time basis until January 2027, with a 9 day fortnight (36.25 hours/week). You will lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, partnering with hiring managers to deliver efficient, customer-focused outcomes for the Townsville community.

You will provide expert advice on recruitment best practice, support campaign strategy, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checks and onboarding, while contributing to continuous

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end recruitment services.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation and industrial instruments.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring, guiding or coordinating others.
• Proficiency using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• A Certificate IV in Human Resources (or equivalent experience).
• A current C Class Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end recruitment support and partner with hiring managers across Council.
• Assist with campaign strategy, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checking and onboarding activities.
• Deliver recruitment training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders and candidates.
• Support a positive, outcomes-focused recruitment experience for applicants and managers.
