Job summary

NSW Health's Kids Research seeks a Research Finance Partner to support the Research Business Manager by delivering financial reporting and guidance on finance processes within a large paediatric research setting. You will build strong partnerships with senior leaders, drive enhancements to income and expense recognition, and contribute to a busy finance team in a nationally respected health service.

The role is 38 hours per week, temporary full-time until 13 December 2027, with salary packaging

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or business and/or relevant experience within a Finance team of a medium to large organisation and/or extensive relevant experience within a health setting
• Demonstrated project-based accounting experience and ability to analyse complex financial data
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Advanced skills in MS Office and Oracle Financials; ability to learn new systems rapidly
• Ability to work independently and drive positive results
• Excellent organisational skills and capacity to manage a busy workload and competing priorities
• Experience in a research or grants management environment
• Experience in service development or enhancement

Responsibilities

• Support the Research Business Manager and develop partnerships with senior research leaders by providing financial reporting and guidance
• Develop and implement improvements to finance-related processes within Kids Research to improve income and expense recognition
