Job summary

NSW Health's Sydney Children’s Hospital Network seeks a Research Development Manager to drive strategic projects that strengthen SCHN’s research capacity and support high-performing paediatric research and clinical trials.

You will work with the Research Executive to deliver initiatives, education, and partnerships with universities and government to advance paediatric health research across NSW.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience in a clinical research or healthcare delivery environment.
• Strong leadership and project management experience with timely delivery of research initiatives.
• Knowledge of clinical research development, ethics, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with grant development and review and with research management systems such as CTMS, REDCap and REGIS.
• Understanding of national/international trends in medical research and Australian landscape.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal and external SCHN stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects to strengthen SCHN’s research capacity and support high‑performing paediatric research and clinical trials.
• Enhance research education and training to boost knowledge and expertise across the organisation.
• Manage research enabling grants and foster partnerships with government, universities and research institutes.
• Engage with the NSW Government and other collaborators to advance paediatric health research landscape in NSW.
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality research activities in SCHN with senior management.
