Job summary

Griffith University is seeking a dynamic Research Development Officer to advance research excellence across the School of Education and Professional Studies and the Griffith Institute for Educational Research (GIER).

You will drive initiatives that strengthen research performance, foster a vibrant research culture and build capacity across the School and Institute, collaborating with senior leaders and external partners to maximise impact.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will hold a relevant postgraduate qualification and/or substantial experience in research development, research management, or higher education administration.
• Experience leading research development initiatives, capacity-building programs, and strategic projects across complex organisations.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies for research visibility, engagement and impact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead research development initiatives by coordinating groups, capacity-building programs and strategic projects.
• Provide expert research support to senior leaders, researchers and committees on priorities, governance and initiatives.
• Drive research funding success through grant development coordination and partnerships.
• Enhance visibility and impact by implementing engagement and knowledge translation activities.
• Deliver governance support and insights through data analysis, reporting and decision-making processes.
