Job summary

Australian Signals Directorate in Brisbane is seeking an energetic EL1 Assistant Director for Recruitment and On Boarding. You will lead the recruitment and onboarding functions, shaping strategies that align with ASD’s objectives while developing internal and external stakeholder relationships.

As an EL1 leader, you will oversee a team, ensure compliant processes, and drive efficiency through policy and data-driven decisions that enhance the candidate experience and workforce outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading recruitment and onboarding in a large public sector or similar organisation.
• Knowledge of employment legislation, privacy requirements and policies.
• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Proven capability to mentor and develop a small team.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on recruitment, selection and onboarding best practices.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure recruitment and onboarding processes comply with legislation, privacy requirements, and policies.
• Review and improve procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyse recruitment and onboarding data to support workforce planning.
• Manage and mentor a small team of recruitment officers.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and prepare reports.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment partners and internal stakeholders.
• Enhance the candidate and new employee experience to support workforce objectives.
