Job summary

Department of Communities and Justice NSW is seeking a Manager Property Advisory within the Strategic Infrastructure, Risk and Resilience team to oversee strategic property portfolio management, commercial leasing, stakeholder relations and divestments for a range of Government assets in NSW.

You will report to the Senior Manager Property Advisory within a team of 5 and must be a critical thinker with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in facilities management, asset management and building principles or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and negotiate complex property management matters relating to Government owned assets
• Crown Land Management responsibility of owned assets
• Manage on behalf of DCJ Aboriginal Land Claim dealings and assessment
• Provide analyses, reports and options papers to management with accurate current awareness of property performance.
• Proven experience managing complex property projects or commercial portfolios, strong negotiation skills, and expert written capacity for drafting Ministerial correspondence
• Deal with complex land titling, caveats, easements and legacy issues
• Oversee divestment of Government assets within the Government Property Framework working closely with PDNSW.
