Job summary

Douglas Shire Council is seeking an experienced Strategic Projects Lead to steer planning and delivery of complex initiatives across strategy, infrastructure, planning, community, environment and economic development.

You will work with Council's leadership team, elected members, government agencies, consultants, industry and the community to turn priorities into practical outcomes for the Douglas Shire's long-term future.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in PM, business, planning, engineering or economics, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing strategic plans, feasibility studies, business cases or similar.
• Strong project management, governance and communication skills.
• Experience working with government, consultants, industry and community stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects through to delivery.
• A current Class C Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex strategic projects from conception to delivery.
• Coordinate with Council leadership, elected members and government agencies.
• Provide strategic advice and project leadership across strategy, infrastructure and environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoyssolving complex problems, working collaboratively and turning strategic ideasinto practical outcomes.

You will ideally have:

• Relevantqualifications in Project Management, Business, Planning, Engineering,Economics or a related discipline, or significant equivalent experience
• Demonstratedexperience leading complex strategic projects and managing multiplestakeholders
• Strongstrategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experiencedeveloping strategic plans, feasibility studies, business cases or similar
• Strongproject management, governance and communication skills
• Experienceworking with government, consultants, industry and community stakeholders
• Theability to manage competing priorities and drive projects through todelivery
• A currentClass C Driver Licence
