Job summary

Department of Customer Service (DCS) in NSW is recruiting for an experienced procurement specialist to drive strategic procurement and sourcing across agencies. The role focuses on delivering value, governance, and compliant processes within a hybrid Sydney workplace.

You will assess business needs, lead sourcing activities, manage contracts and supplier performance, and provide high-level guidance to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to assess business needs and supply market conditions.
• Lead sourcing activities and establish supply arrangements.
• Develop contract management plans and monitor supplier performance.
• Provide governance and guidance on procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions
• Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
• Develop and support contract management plans, negotiate changes and modifications, supplier performance management and compliance requirements
• Partner with staff from across the organisation providing high level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes
