Job summary

Unitywater is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead procurement strategy, strategic sourcing, contract management and the supply chain function. Reporting to the CFO and guiding a high-performing team, you will champion procurement transformation and commercial excellence to deliver value across critical infrastructure and services in South East Queensland.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading procurement, sourcing, category management or supply chain functions in asset-intensive organisations.
• Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies delivering value and risk management.
• Strong leadership experience with building high-performing teams and driving change.
• Exceptional commercial acumen including complex sourcing and negotiation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influence across executives and supplier groups.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving to navigate complexity and deliver long-term value.
• Desirable postgraduate qualifications or professional procurement accreditations (e.g., CIPS).

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction of procurement, sourcing, contracts and supply chain strategies delivering value and mitigating risk.
• Drive procurement transformation and capability uplift across processes and systems.
