Job summary

CDC Data Centres in Australia and New Zealand seeks a Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement to lead end-to-end procurement for major data centre developments. You will build and coach a team of category specialists across electrical, mechanical and other areas, ensuring procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets.

You will work with Engineering, Delivery, Finance, Legal and Commercial teams to shape governance, strategy and performance frameworks, drive supplier performance, and

Qualifications

• Significant experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or commercial management.
• Proven leadership in procurement or project teams.
• Strong expertise in tendering, supplier negotiations and governance.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical, operational and executive functions.
• Experience with high-value supplier relationships and driving outcomes.
• Strategic mindset with analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of category specialists across key procurement areas.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with pipeline and objectives.
• Oversee sourcing, tendering, evaluation and negotiations for major capital projects.
• Establish governance, reporting and performance frameworks.
• Partner with project, engineering and commercial teams to align with schedules and budgets.
• Drive supplier performance and risk management for successful delivery.
• Provide commercial leadership to senior stakeholders on procurement decisions.
