Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to lead procurement for major infrastructure projects, focusing on transmission lines, substations and capital works. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier and subcontractor engagement, and negotiate commercial outcomes for bids and projects.

The role supports flexible working arrangements across Australia (Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane) with a 6-month fixed-term contract and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in capital project procurement within energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience supporting high value bids and tenders across public or private sectors.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of Australian construction markets, forms of contract and procurement governance.

Responsibilities

• Support bid and project mobilisation activities through sourcing and contracting strategies.
• Lead supplier and subcontractor engagement and manage complex sourcing activities.
• Negotiate commercial outcomes and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
